Re: 5563 - 4 door in the box?

I guess it's a mistake, since I don't have any extra from my 5563, just the two that required to build the model. Selçuk (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.loc.it)

  5563 - 4 door in the box?

I just finished to build up this set that I have found quite interesting and with a lot of interesting pieces. But also I found that inside the box there were 4 big white door instead of the two needed. This is the first time I found really big (...)   Re: Summer Shop at Home Catalog just arrived!!

(...) Is it that you are not a SW fan, or you don't like UCS sets for some reason? I asked because for me, as a long term SW fan, those sets (UCSs) are just great. (actually a 20 year dream that came finally true: large scale detailed lego models (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Summer Shop at Home Catalog just arrived!!

(...) Huh.... well if their newer MT sets were anything like the older ones (e.g. 5571) they would be doing better, I bet. (At least on my front - I have no interest in the *SW* UCS sets, but I'd love to see some big-big MT sets. 5571 is one of my (...)   5561 big foot 4x4

Hello, I have several of these sets(5561 big foot 4x4) from 1997 mint in box.I was wondering whether any one would be interested in purchasing one or all of these sets.I may consider trading for some 9 volt train products. If I get no replay from (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jun-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

(...) To counter this, you could use 4.5/12V track, and motors, as the points levers [at least on 4.5V points] can be as high/low as needed. Using the standard train motor bogie, the locomotive would be relatively large compared to this 'fixed element' which leaves even more scope for imaginative building AND retains a 'working model' concept.   Extra left hand side door in 5563 Racing Truck

I looked into the display tray of some 5563 boxes, and noted that all of them appeared to have an extra left hand side door. This is the large door also seen in black in the 5571 Black Cat Truck, so it's not exactly a small piece. Has anybody else (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.modelteam)
