Re: MOC: MAN 5t military transporter

(...) Well done. Good use of new grey (if only Lego would keep old alive too). I especially like how you did the wheels and undercarriage - very nice. I wonder if it would look good with those wheels scaled down to 6 wide? -Matt :) (18 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: MOC: MAN 5t military transporter

(...) Very pretty. For people like me who are 6 wide train heads, is this vehicle as is too wide to fit in at 8? Put another way... Many US military vehicles are quite wide... how wide is this one in real life? Did you post it to modelteam because (...)   Re: Slide glide door geometry

(...) I think what you need are two external arms, half the width of the door, top and bottom. Connect them from the door frame to a point half way along the door. This gives you four hinges. You then want to construct a mechanism that attaches to (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

  Slide glide door geometry

Allow me to pull you guys off the excitement around the 2006 Technic sets to ask a question...   5590 Alternate Model

Hi all, I just finished building the alternate model for set [LEGOSet 5590] It was quite short, and it looks like it barely required half the total parts. What exactly is this kind of truck?
