PC Magazine - November 5, 2002
Front of magazine titled: 104 ways to make Windows Work Better
Page 8, article titled Robots, Robots Everywhere, by Michael J. Miller
extracted from article:
"Robotics is about to become the latest craze in computerized gadgets. Lots
of companies have plans to build robots that do various things around the
house. Most of them aren't quite ready for the mass market, but they sure
are intriguing. Engineers and tinkerers have been talking about robots for
some time, but I trace the consumer robotics movement back to the LEGO
Mindstorms line, which lets you create little robots that move and climb.
There's no doubt they're cool, but they're obviously not very useful."
end of extract
He then goes on to describe new 'home robots' that will vacuum and such...
