Sept. 24, 2008 DEA bust uncovers cocaine smuggled in children’s toy packages

-Narcotics traffickers hid cocaine inside Lego sets and other toy packages that were mailed from Puerto Rico to New York City, according to Drug Enforcement Administration officials. As seen in the DEA evidence photos on the following pages, the accused dealers placed the drug inside vibrantly colored K’Nex and Lego containers (insert your own brick jokes here). As we have previously reported, perps have been caught using puppies, Tickle Me Elmo dolls, Mr. Potato Head, and even Jesus himself to transport their illegal products.
