It looks like the seller is trying to avoid the listing & final value fees for
multiple items. To list something at a starting price of $124.99 is $2.00, with a
final value fee of $3.75. That's $5.75 per item that goes to eBay, so s/he is saving
that amount for each 8458 s/he sells after the first one. In addition, this is a
featured item, which adds $19.95 to the listing. The disadvantage to the seller is
that the more people who place "orders" by bidding, the higher the final value fee
will be for this one auction, but it would probably be a nominal expense.

| I can't make out what is going on with this "auction": (URL) the surface, there is 1 Silver Champion being auctioned. The item title suggests this is a "But it now" auction, and the text appears to suggest that there are multiple items and the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
