Well, since I bought a pretty expensive new vehicle recently, I had only one set
I really wanted (Well, OK, I wanted them all, but then reality sets in again! :)
) the 4031 fire boat, the one with the helicopter on it, it is the only boat I
did not have and I wanted one for my town due to all my disasters. I had the
same situation, two going, and someone else tested the waters with the bids. I
think the complete ones sold for about the same as I got one for (It is
incomplete), but I got it all the same, finally. The auction system here is a
little awkward, but I am still glad I got the chance to bid on some great sets.
I think this shows what true prices can be had here for sets, and it will be the
drive for the future. Whether it is good or bad doesn't matter. It is what the
market says.
Too bad you didn't have some more sets lying around somewhere for Setzilla 2 ,
Todd! :)

| That auction was certainly a novel experience for me - having so many sets to choose from. I had a great time bidding in it - thanks Todd and Charles for organizing it. Now that it is winding down, I was wondering what impressions people had from (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.theory)
