I looked into setting up a Billpoint account, but it was for a select few while they were testing. They charge something like 5% as a fee. In that respect, I think that x.com and paypal will still be around, since who wants to double their ebay (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Zilch. There is no charge to either buyer or seller using either of them, only limits on the amount of money you can transfer using CC's. They're set up for individuals to use (not businesses), so I guess they're assuming they'll be able to offset (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

It's all even better now.... PayPal and X.com are merging, forming the only free $ exchange portal I know of. And why wouldn't you use this free service before giving eBay another 4-5%? Scott (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
