SYSTEM LETS INDIVIDUALS ACCEPT CREDIT-CARD PAYMENTS
Billpoint, a new Internet payment method developed by eBay.com and Well
Fargo, will allow individual buyers and sellers using eBay's auction
services to complete their transactions using the buyer's credit card and
the seller's bank account. Once the sale is completed, the purchase amount
will be transferred immediately into the seller's checking account. (Wall

| I looked into setting up a Billpoint account, but it was for a select few while they were testing. They charge something like 5% as a fee. In that respect, I think that x.com and paypal will still be around, since who wants to double their ebay (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

| As I've never actually completed a PayPal transaction, only signed up, and since I'm not using x.com, I can only go by what I've read. My look at PayPal makes it seem nice for me in that I both buy and sell, and if my sales match my purchases I'll (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
