60lbs of lego for almost 1000$?? [at the time I'm posting this..] Maybe its
just because I'm tired, but is there anything I'm missing from the pictures in
this auction? Is there some super rare pieces or something? I could see the
price going this high if there was train bits or some unusual rare pieces.

My rule of thumb on undifferentiated bulk Lego is 10 bucks a pound. That would be 600. So 911 (what it finished at) is not totally out of line. I did not scan the list of instructions provided so I can't spot any rare ones in there... but if there (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
