I was just in the Winn-Dixie at 54 and 55 and it was marked $9.99 on the
shelf, so I was about to pass on it. Then I noticed some candy I wanted
to buy, and then decided, oh well, I'll buy the set. It rang up as
$4.99, which is an amazingly reasonable price for it (considering a
couple hours later, I saw a 8247 in Walmart clearance priced at $5.00
[wow!]).
On another "race" like note. I've been seeing copies of LEGO Racers in
KB Toys for $9.99 packaged with various promo sets. A while ago I picked
one up which had the set from LEGO Loco. Tonight I saw copies with the
set from LEGO Chess, another with the LEGO Loco set, and one with a set
which I think is Biker Bob. Unfortunately the one copy of LEGO Rock
Raiders was packaged with the Gail Storm adventurers promo set (sorry -
too lazy to remember or dig up set numbers).
