An area Target has started getting new stock to gear up for the
holidays.  On the aisles where all the new stuff is being shelved they
had a spot for the new 2250 Advent calendars.  But the thing is, the
shelf price was $4.94 rather than the expected $19.99.  The same thing
happened last year at this same Target with 5978 Sphinx Secret Surprise
which they carried for $15.74 for awhile.  IIRC there were only a few
Targets that had that price-- I think it was Frank F. who knew of one
(if it was you Frank and you are reading this, I would be curious to
know how that Target is pricing the Advent calendars-- maybe those
Targets have the same strange pricing agenda).  Unfortunately there was
only one on the shelf.

Anyway, this new calendar has no minifigs at all. It's a shame they
couldn't have thrown in a couple of green minifigs to be elves or
something.  It appears to have about nine of the transparent 2x2 slopes
and, as Ashley G. mentioned, a lot of small bricks decorated with eyes,
smiley faces, etc.  The box is sealed in a more logical fashion and the
picture is nicer. But unless you are really going to use it as an Advent
calendar instead of for parts, if you were lucky enough to find last
year's calendars for 5 bucks at Walmart, that's a better deal.  The last
I heard S@H was out of the 1298's and are now selling the 2250's.
