I've checked 3 (or was it 4?) Targets, and found 1 shelf tag where they
allegedly used to be. The others showed no sign of ever having stocked it.
As a robot experimentation platform, the DDK sucks. However, at $70,
it's getting into "Technic parts fodder" range (700+ parts, a few of which
aren't available anywhere else), and might be good for pre-teen kids who
want to build simple animated models. Otherwise, it's best to think of
it as an expansion pack for the RDS or RIS.

| Last week I spotted several DDKs at this same price at, of all places, FAO Schwartz marked down from their usually inflated price of $120. I haven't convinced myself I want to pay that much for it but if nothing better turns up soon I may have to. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| According to rebelscum.com, the mindstorms is on clearance at several Target stores for $69.99... it can be found in the LEGO or action figure aisles... has anyone found this deal? -- Have fun! John (24 years ago, 8-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
