When I was at TRU on Saturday I asked the manager if he knew the
specials for the coming week. He said he did but then wouldn't come out
and tell me whether LEGO would be on sale as I had heard. I told him I
would like to know, since it was Target's last day on some sets they had
on sale, but I would hold off if I knew for sure there would be a better
sale. He STILL wouldn't tell me but said if I bought the items they had
a thirty day price guarantee, so I went ahead and had TRU match Target's
price of $16.88 on a Royal Joust and a Slave I.
When I went back today with my receipt to get the price guarantee (and
buy more LEGO!), there was a different (nicer) manager there. I
expected him to refund me $1.88 on each set, but instead he went ahead
and kept the $16.88 price on the first set and took $8.44 off the second
set. So I ended up getting them for $12.66 each.
