Hmm... I can't seem to duplicate this problem. I've tried Firefox, Opera, and
Explorer on both Windows and Macintosh computers. :-/
Some things to check:
- Try spelling LUGNET in lowercase (I just added that as an alias code in our
system)
- Make sure your browser settings allow cookies and pop-up windows (our secure
checkout page comes up in a new window)
- The zip code you enter for shipping charges must match the one entered in your
ship-to address.
- Not every LEGO set here will give the extra 20% off. So please make sure the
LEGO sets you buy are included in the list I posted.
- Don't be alarmed by the red test which asks you to double check your credit
card's expiration date. It's only there as a reminder - not an alert of
rejection.
- The shopping cart's contents listing appears near the end of the webpage, so
be sure you've scrolled all the way down to see it.
Some things to report to me that might help us narrow down the problem:
- Do you see a message saying "invalid coupon code"? Or, do you just not see the
discount reflected in your cart? (This discount should appear as an item in your
cart and it removes some cost before your total)
- What browser and platform are you using?
- Trying again, do you still have this problem?
Last night, I received private e-mail from another LUGNET person who said they
were unable to finish the checkout process. And I have heard from employees here
of such complaints in the past, though it's rare. I find this all quite alarming
(and embarrassing). Part of my new job here to solve problems like this and, if
need be, change providers of our shopping cart service. I started here only last
week and one of the first tasks I was given was to help sell this LEGO to make
room for our shipment of new sets. Because the sale was a higher priority, I
left the bugs for later. I never expected there to be a problem for you guys.
