After Jonathan posted about the price of the 4504 (MF) sets, I quietly went to the local Targets in the DC area. Several of the stores showed inventory in the computer system, but there were no sets on the shelves. I suspected that the error had been realized and the sets were pulled form the shelves until it could be corrected. Yesterday, I was back in the P. G. plaza store and there were three of the sets on the clearance isle. I had searched every inch of those isles and they were not there a few days before. I even asked an employee if there were any sets in the stock room or if they had been removed from the sales floor. Yesterday the MF sets were scanning at $54. I decided to take a pass since all the boxes looked like they had been opened.
I did manage to pick up a few sets from the stores including a Ferrari set for
my son and a few castle sets for parts. There were a lot of Duplo sets on the
clearance shelves, depending on which store you visited.
