(...) Cool. I bought some of these last year and sold most of them on ebay at more than twice what I paid. I will try to do the same this year. YMMV. (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

  Re: After tanksgiving sale (Walmart)

I'm curious. That's a good per-brick price, but is this considered a really good deal? I mean, 5 bucks is cheap but it's a tiny set. I've only started to buy stuff in bulk and missed out on the 3033s for 20 bucks. So I'm wondering if you guys think (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) -snip (...) -snip (...) -snip IMO that is not at all a good deal. Walmart also carries a bucket of 500 pieces for ten dollars that has tan and brown bricks. Unless you need the orange bricks this would seem to be a waste. The math says it (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

Dan, do you know the number for the set you referenced (Wal*Mart 500 pc. @ $10.) I agree with Dan, this *WAS* NOT a good sale. Last year and the previous (they were the same set, repackaged and renumbered from #4285) was a better deal. It was (...) (22 years ago, 29-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) This would probably be 4105 (URL) is also available at Kmart, which (unlike WalMart) actually has real, usable sales. . . -- TWS Garrison (URL) capital letters in address for direct reply. (22 years ago, 29-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) Rose, I warmed up to it, too. Considering that the bulk of the bricks are orange, green, light gray and black, all colors I can use more of, I thought that $3 per bucket made it a fine buy. Did I say $3? The Durham NC (USA) Walmart at New Hope (...) (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) I got 4 buckets at that Walmart, and the remaining stock is at the bottom of the pallets..but there's still more than a few! Thanks, Cary! Joe Meno (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

  Re: After thanksgiving sale (Walmart)

(...) In addition, be alert for restocked Lego being put out in the wrong place. I just got back from my local Wal-mart,where I found several 4105 buckets in the stack of $5 4084 buckets. There were too many for it to have been just someone (...) (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) Nice Story Henry.... ...great Lego Haul for $30. Yeah... when it comes to Lego buying at retail, you got to be at the right place at the right time. Ben (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)
