I stopped in 2 stations in the South SF Bay area today, and they only had a few of the small sets, didn't even know they were going to be getting the larger sets. Chapters Online is selling Lego in the toy section. (URL) look pretty average and selection seems to be limited, but they do ship to Canada in Canadian dollars, of course, unlike most web stores! I stopped at 2 Shell stations today. One station only had the little sets. There was a hand written sign that said $1.49, no mention of a mandatory purchase.
