The Zany Brainy in Durham NC has two sides of a short display case - away from the Legos and close to the cash registers - covered in 6766 Rapid River Village on one side and some large Insectoid set on the other, maybe 6977. During my visit to the Kidvention at LEGOLAND this summer my friends went out shopping and came back with the astounding news that the local 7-11 had "LEGO & LIQUOR!". We don't have 7-11's around ehre, but I did notice that Discount Drug Mart had a freestanding display of Lego once. The odd thing is, it was of a $6 Res-Q set 2962 (Life Guard Res-Q), which I had never seen at any other store! Go figure.... Troy -- (...)
