I have meanwhile send 1000+ orders in new padded envelops (incl.
internationally). I used to tape the flap shut, but stopped doing this abuot 6
months ago. Since then, all orders (500+) have made it just fine to their
buyers, not a single complaint envelops opening up. Thus, I think it is safe to
omit the tape on new envelops (unlike USPS priority mail boxes....:<).
I don't know about reusing, I buy my bubble padded envelops wholesale (per 250),
and they are only 20-30% of what Target or OfficeMax charges for the same mailer
(6x8 inch approx $0.14/piece, 8x10 inch approx $0.18/each).

After I posted this, I realized I forgot to mention that I absolutely DO NOT over stuff padded mailers. I only use (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jun-02, to lugnet.market.shipping)
