I have PayPal linked to a bare-bones checking account I use for my travel
related expenses at work. This account rarely has much money in it - as
soon as I get reimbursed for my expenses I send the money to my CC. This
account has zero connection (othen than me) to all of my other bank
accounts. I figure my exposure is pretty low.
Some employers provided low or no cost access to a credit union. If your
employer does and you haven't opened an account, this may be an option.
