Hello! I am looking to sell (or trade) a NEW 8480 Lego Space Shuttle. This is
by far one of the MOST COMPLICATED sets I have ever built. 1366 pieces
including fiber optics, the motor set, and a micro motor. Lego has retired
this set. (I have heard, and the catalog states they have limited quantities
left) This set is JUST AS IMPRESSIVE as the original Super Car. The alternate
model is a submarine that is equally impressive. I would consider a trade for
an original Super Car (8880). I may even consider it for a used Super Car if
you can prove all the parts are there.
Now the messy details. Lego sells this set for $158. You may be able to get it
from them yet. Most stores I have checked are selling the set for $149. You
MAY get lucky and find it on sale for less, but Lego sales on the big ticket
items are hard to find. My terms are PAINFULLY CLEAR. Money orders only. YOU
pay shipping, and not some inflated shipping price either. YOU choose the
method you want the set shipped and YOU pay the actual cost. Insurance is also
YOUR option. I am going to sell this item in an auction style fashion. There
are no fancy postings or emails saying you are winning. PLEASE, e-mail me your
offer ONCE. I will stop accepting offers on Janurary 23rd at noon. I will
respond to all offers AFTER JANURARY 23 to let you know if you "WIN".
I am asking $120 for this set. No, its not an ABSOLUTE STEAL. However, this
set is going to be the next one to have the demand that rivals the Super Car.
You can get one now for less than the original price, or you can be the person
wishing they had one of these in 2 years when everyone else is offering to
sell it to you for $200-$300. If you want this set, great...I have one to
sell. If you think I'm crazy, well.......maybe. But you can keep that to
yourself. I won't force this down anybodys throat. Thanks for your time!!
