I'm in search of an economical way to find a decent propellor. here is
my story:
(please respond to berwin@tufts.edu in a separate email if you respond
to this to the list)
There is a really nice grey two-wing propellor that takes an axle at the
center in the dacta 9701 control lab kit. the problem is, that kit is
over $200 and I haven't found a decent propellor blade for cheap
anywhere.
Each blade on that prop is about an inch or so long.
I have also seen a black version of this propellor, but i have no idea
where it came from.
The airplane accessory kit from S@H (around $3) had two little black
props with center holes that were too small even for a peg!
The brown three-wing props from such small kits as the pontoon plane or
the new zeppelin accept pegs at the center and not axles, which makes it
a little trickier to turn them from a motor (which is what i want to
do).
It looks as if some of the undersea adventure stuff have decent props,
but those sets are upwards of $50 -- way out of the range i'm willing to
pay.
I don't really want to rely on auctions, either.
The LEGO spare parts phone number is nice for a couple of them, but i'm
thinking mass quantities here, where i can tell people "go buy kit #
XXXX to get this propellor"
any help is greatly appreciated. please respond in a separate email to
berwin@tufts.edu if you respond to the list.
