BrickLink or Ebay will likely get you the most bang for your buck, as well as
possibly AuctionBrick (although I'm not sure how end prices compare over there
compared to BL & Ebay).
Ebay's a gamble-- some things you may get more value, some less. Depends who's
buying at the moment. On the other hand, they're 99% likely to get bid on and
bought, whereas on BrickLink (especially on a straight sale), you may or may not
have them sit there for a while before they're purchased. Plus the fact that
Ebay probably costs more for you as a seller than BL.
The only other factor I can think of is condition information. Ebay lets you
have a page worth of information on your items, so you can show pictures,
describe things in detail, etc. BrickLink (at least for sales) isn't quite as in
depth.

Check out BrickLink-- they've got pricing data for what items have sold at.
Should help you guage how much to charge. Plus some of the sets you have may
already be offered by other sellers...

Heh, keep in mind too that currently-running Ebay auctions are likely to be
undervalued. The vast majority of auctions get sniped within the last hour or
so, so the best guide will be the completed auctions...

| Howdy- I've been out of the LEGO loop for a while & want to turn some of my old sets into cash. What's the recommended outlet for doing so these days...eBay or another source? Is there any accepted pricing guide to use as a rule of thumb for set (...) (20 years ago, 20-Oct-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
