I thought I was pretty current with college sports and mascots but must admit the west coast isn't my strong suit. Isn't Cal the "Golden Bears" with gold and blue uniforms? (...) Yes, that's right...but the combo of blue and yellow squares wouldn't work with blue bears... Also, I can't think of any arch rivals with a red bear for a mascot.
