I thought I was pretty current with college sports and mascots but must admit
the west coast isn't my strong suit. Isn't Cal the "Golden Bears" with gold
and blue uniforms? Also, I can't think of any arch rivals with a red bear for a
mascot.
As for your original red-to-blue-bear question, anything is possible if you put
your mind (or Photoshop) to it.

| (...) Yes, that's right...but the combo of blue and yellow squares wouldn't work with blue bears... Also, I can't think of any arch rivals with a red bear for a mascot.
