Try American Science and Surplus (www.sciplus.com) and Marlin P. Jones
(www.mpja.com).  I'd say that the odds are better than 50-50 that one or the
other will have the plug adapters.  If you're willing to go a little bit
"non-purist",  it's also almost certain that one or both will have suitable
transformers (with US-style inputs) at good prices.  MPJA also has good deals
on hefty linear power supplies that could be used for powering large setups
(e.g.,  at train shows) without having to use a zillion outlet strips to hold
all the wall warts.

I've recently acquired two 7864 12v train transformers which have UK plugs on them. I have a step up transformer which has the European standard two pin connector. Since the UK plugs are put together with screws, I'd love to get a couple European (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
