A final (hopefully) update on the T-1 attached to Brickbay:
Ameritech returned this morning and rechecked the connection and switching
equipment here at the house. The technician found that the previous
installer had damaged some of the wiring connecting the various components
and actually saw some bare copper. As touchy as T-1s are, our theory is that
the damage/unprotected wire was causing intermittent shorts causing the line
to go funky. The wire has been repaired and everything seems back to normal.
