I thought the big flap over the other custom figs was that they were figs being
made of characters that were licensed out, but no figures had yet developed?
These LEGO figs would differ slightly in that the packaging is the custom bit,
the fig is an official product.
Or are there custom 'figs back up on eBay now? I guess it wouldn't surprise
me, eBay is incredibly sloppy in enforcing their own T&C.

| Customizers have been doing this kind of thing for a while in the action figure "collectible" market. They dummy up a backing board (or use the old one) and package or repackage bootleg or customized figures on them (I recall an infamous version of (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.market.auction)
