I would guess that no matter how clearly you explained the idea, at least
20% of the bidders would think you meant they have to bid in the last hour
to get free shipping.

You are selling a set that is still available in stores and on-line, so I
suggest you list it with buy-it-now.  And make the opening high so the
buy-it-now will stay around, since the buy-it-now option is removed with the
first bid.
