I don't know if anyone else has noticed it, but the eBay bid history now shows
all the bids, instead of just each person's highest bid. If the high bidder
increased his bid whithout ever being outbid, it shows up as multiple bids at
the winning price. An example from an item I just won tonight:

ffilz (142)          $18.50   Oct-09-00 15:24:52 PDT
snapper212 (42)      $18.00   Oct-14-00 16:11:09 PDT
snapper212 (42)      $15.00   Oct-10-00 06:37:45 PDT
jihad*s (122)        $12.00   Oct-09-00 21:01:15 PDT
jihad*s (122)         $9.73   Oct-09-00 17:33:53 PDT
jihad*s (122)         $5.00   Oct-09-00 17:05:40 PDT

Yep, It looks like it will be a lot easier for bidders to raise the price you
you for an item, since it will indicate that you have increased your max. So if
the auction sells for more, FeeBay makes more!   John

(...) I'm not sure how much of an effect this will have. They have no idea how much you increased your bid. Back when eBay was losing the ability to show your maximum bids, I was increasing my bid by one cent to get it to show up again. The way this (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
