I plan to write a software to help me keeping records of Lego auctions, I mean
bidding and not putting items on auction.
I do this for my own use, but if somebody else is interested I can make an
effort to make it some more user-friendly and documented. It would be free, of
course, and published on my freeware page.
Each item will be stored in a record with the following fields:
Category: brick, plate, axle, etc (user defined)
Size: depending on category, may be expressed in 1, 2 or 3 dimensions (user
defined)
Colour: chosen in a user defined list
Description: further description for special parts
Quantity: the lot quantity
Price: the lot price (or current bid)
Max bid: if auction supports proxy bid
Auction: the name of the auction
Date: date of last bid
Status: Open, Won, Lost, Paid, Received
Price per piece (computed): Lot price / quantity
Price per unit (computed): Price per piece / Size
A part from entering items and updating their status, I plan to insert a
filtering system to select and order items with user defined criteria. On a
filtered subset, I will compute total amount, total number of pieces, status
counts and some stats on price per unit and price per piece (max, min,
average, std dev). You could know, eg: the price per stub of the plates you
bought, on which items you've been beaten, how much money did you spend, and
so on.
If some of you are interested, please let me know answering this message in
this forum or by e-mail. I would like to receive ideas and suggestions too.
If such a software already exists (I couldn't find it) please inform me!
