    FA: $4000!!! (Tiles) —John Neal
I just posted 40 crispy $100 green 1x2 tiles. At $4000 worth of tiles, it might be the single largest amount of LEGO ever offered, unless it isn't;-) One catch-- the auction says it's closed, yet I just posted it. Should work. Good luck! -John (URL) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) Nope, it's not. :) There were 150 of those in AucZILLA VI. But 40 is still a lot![1] --Todd [1] Uhm, no pun intended. ;-) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA: $4000!!! (Tiles) —John Neal
(...) Ah, but as *one* lot-- how many were there in AucVI? (bragging rights on the line;) (...) None taken;) BTW Todd, that file you had sent me was *125* megs, not 30 something as I had thought! -John (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA: $4000!!! (Tiles) —Todd Lehman
(...) It was several smaller lots, the largest being 12 tiles. --Todd (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA: $4000!!! (Tiles) —Todd Lehman
(...) Oh, I just remembered. BTW, AucZILLA I (five whole years ago now, wow!) had a lot called "Fort Knox" which consisted of a single lot of 496 gold pirate coins. What does that add up to in LEGO money? (496 / 4) * (10 + 20 + 30 + 40) = ? --Todd (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

That's assuming they were $10, $20, $30, and $40 coins, not 10 blurgs, 20 blurgs, etc ;-) (...) -- | Tom Stangl, Technical Support Netscape Communications Corp | Please do not associate my personal views with my employer (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA: $4000!!! (Tiles) —Todd Lehman
(...) Hmm, do either the coins or the tile have a $ sign on them? If I'm not mistaken, all the LEGO minifig money is actually in blurgs rather than dollars. --Todd (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Monetary units? (was: Re: FA: $4000!!! (Tiles)) —Todd Lehman
(...) Hey, wait, even though the 1x2 tiles and the coins don't have $'s on them, don't the Western/Wild West and Town safes and ATM's have $'s on them? --Todd [followups to lugnet.western,lugnet.town] (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.western, lugnet.town)

(...) Hmmm...I think since we're discussing pirate dublurgs (sort of like blurg dubloons) this belongs there too. I know that I've got a virtual mint in gold and silver! Anyhow, I wonder what the Wild West/Town Dollar-to-Pirate/Wild West Blurg (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.western, lugnet.town, lugnet.pirates)

(...) Not to be all alarmist or anything, but doesn't this sound like a classic Y2K problem. If the auction were to end in the year 2000, the auction software may see it as being in the year '00', and since that is clearly in the past (If you live (...)    Tamy is correct-- there is something goofy going on. I took down my Big Buck auction because the start date won't set for today, but on the closing date, thus the bot thinks the auction is over. Maybe I could run it here. Anyone want to make an (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)
