Auction Announcement: Town Senior plus Boats

Hi all,
I will be starting a new auction in a couple of days. What follows below is a
list and description of the sets that will be in this auction. I
will be adding other sets as we go along. If you would like to be on the
update list for this auction please email me and I will put you on. If you
have any other questions please ask. I will publish a copy of the rules
with the first update.

THE SETS:
357 Fire Station with Vehicles
This fire station comes with a battalion truck, a pumper and
a ladder truck. It's complete including the 'Lego' decal that
adorns the flag. The deco pieces 'Lego' on all the vehicles
and the 'Legoland' deco piece are in great shape.

360 Gravel Quarry
This must be the precursor to the Works Yard set. Three
excellent vehicles including the Steam Shovel on the
suspended rails. The grille on the small truck is scratched
but the other deco pieces are in great shape. The conveyor
belt is in fine working order.
Note that the picture from the instructions show the left
support for the suspended tracks as being built from 1x4
yellow bricks, the instructions call for 2x4 bricks for
this so 2x4 bricks are provided in the set.

361 Garage
Fairly simple garage set, nice 1x8 'Garage' deco brick, 4 4x4
windows (blue trim with white frames), minifig scale white
windowed door and two white panel doors.

362 Windmill
Beautifull windmill set, nicely appointed on a black pyramid
base with a small detached house and a little truck.
Lots of red and black roof pieces, 5 1x2 tall narrow windows
and 2 lovely detailed doors in this set.

370 Police Headquarters
Big old cop shop. A fully detailed precinct with all the
speed enforcement you could want: two motorcycles, a helicopter,
police car and paddy wagon. The building has yellow framed
small windows (11) and doors (3) and 4 textured clear translucent
doors. The deco pieces and signs are in great shape as are the
minifigs.

379 Bus Station
Scenic bus station includes a bus, flowers, bench and street
light. The 'Ticket', 'Bus Station', headlights and schedule decals
are missing. The base plate is in good shape as are the bricks and
wheels.

387 Evacuator & Dumper
Very industrial looking construction set. 4 large clip
in wheels (integrated axles) and two sets of the old knobby
caterpillar treads. The evacuator comes with the spring
loaded steam shovel bucket.

612 Tipper Truck
Small scale truck with pivoting bin. Wheels, axles and bricks
are in great shape. The bin is a single piece and pivots on the
top of two towers constructed of 1x2 bricks.

455 Learjet
An interesting mix between the purist build and the new novelty
pieces. This model has the heavily aliased nose of a purist
design yet sports some sleek jet engines and a molded tail
selction. The alternating red and clear 1x2s give the window
section a very good look. There is some faint yellowing.

430 Biplane
Very simple and tidy biplane set, good wheels and a smooth
propeller action.

480 Rescue Helicopter
Beautiful Lego Purists helicopter, lots of room in the internal
bay. This nicely proportioned set is constructed of basic
red bricks. All the bricks, propeller mounts and clear bricks
are in great shape.

542 Street Crew
Simple little street repair set, two minifigs in great shape. The
sign, shovel and pick are all there. Speciality pieces - blade,
windshield and wheels are in excellent shape.

556 Emergency Van
Nice little fire van with fire marshall. Includes a small
trailer and ladder. The deco grille and a flame deco pieces
are in good shape.

558 Road Crane
Small scale Road Crane with rope winch. All parts of this
set are in good condition. The decals are all in place and
have some wear at the edges but no significant mars.

575 Coast Guard Station
A great harbour set! Again the law is well equipped with:
a helicopter and two hovercraft. Lots of nice yellow fencing
on this set and there are plenty of trip pieces. The
minifigs are in great shape, no rips or tears in these
uniforms. Missing 'S21' sticker on heli. An added bonus is
the Canadian Flag which is minorly yellowed but without any
major trauma.

588 Police Headquarters
Large police set, include a helicopter, the very cool
police cabriolet and a motorcycle. 4 clear full height
doors and a bunch of deco (no decals) police bricks.
Lock 'em up on the right and process the paperwork on
the right!

600 Police Car
How often have you seen the single seater patrol car.
Here it is in all it's stream lined glory. Smaller than
mini-fig scale yet it includes a policeman with traditional
breast shield. The 'Police' decals have been included.

602 Fire Chief's Car
Here's another single seater in the smaller scale. This
kit is almost identical to 600 except in red. Most of the
decals are missing except the minifig decorations and the
flames on the door of the car.

604-1 Shell Car
A 'Shell' single seater, what gives? This is very similar
to the 600/602 but it's not a fastback. Appointed in yellow
and red and sporting the popular 'Shell' deco's I'd present this
as a service car or a well sponsored rally car.

604-2 Excavator
'Old' town front loader, cab is clear bricks, wheels are
in great shape.

605 Taxi
Basic black taxi, the windows, wheels and deco pieces are all
in nice shape.

622 Tipper Truck
Every town needs a garbage truck, here's a nice little set
to fill the need. Doesn't seat a minifig but it's a tidy
set nontheless. Bucket and decal pieces are in great shape,
the wheels are also good. The sign is included.

625 Tractor
Cool small front loader. Has a windscreen but no cabin
over the included driver. The standard scoop is actually
a nice match in scale for this set.

640 Fire Truck and Trailer
Good fire scene support vehicle, one fireman complete with
hat, the deco grille is in good shape and the fire insignia
decals are on the bricks.

645 Police Helicopter
How many bad guys can there be!!! This is the standard
black and white Police Chopper. Minifig and decals are
in good shape.

646 Auto Service Truck
'Auto Service' vehicle, includes a minifig and the wrench
tool. The decals have not been placed on the model with
the exception of the headlight/grille decal. The 'Auto
Service' decals are included on the original sheet.

653 Ambulance and Helicopter
Small helicopter and ambulance. The deco grille and 'Red Cross'
decals are included and the decals are not affixed. The 'S-21'
decal is missing.

659 Police Patrol with Policeman
Retro police set, two old style minifigs (without
moving arms or legs and a blank expression). The deco
2x3 'Police' bricks are in excellent shape. 2 1x8
clear bricks and 3 2x2 white wheel assemblys are interesting
pieces included in this set. Faceless Justice!

671 Shell Tanker
Not quite minifig scale 'Shell' tanker. 'Hose' string is present
and the doors, wheels and windshield are in good shape. Overall
the set is in great shape we have substituted the SHELL and logo
decal for a logo and SHELL decal. Get it?

685 Legoland Truck with Trailer
Basic 'B-Train' truck (fixed bed on tractor, pulling a separate
trailer). Very fundamental design using the classic yellow with
blue trim. All the wheels and the 8 doors are in great shape.
Missing the 'Lego' and striped flag decals.

687 Caravelle Plane
Another nice basic brick set. The proportions on this set are
excellent, aided by the deco window bricks. The tail deco piece
and the wheels are like new. The 'Legoland' decals for the jet
engines are not present.

688 Tank Truck
Excellent older tanker truck design complete with 'Shell' deco
pieces that are in great shape. The wheels and hinge pieces are
like new.

689 Truck & Shovel
Small scale mobile steam shovel. Includes the spring loaded
shovel bucket and a nice articulated arm. 4 sets of the small
rubber wheels on the integrated axle blocks and the old style
turntable.

690 Shell Station
4 pump gas station. This set has two pumps on the main plate and
a separate plate with two more pumps and a nice sign. All the deco
pieces are in good shape and the doors and clear bricks are good as
well.

694 Transport Truck
A small scale tractor-trailer set includes 4 sets of the double
wide small scale wheels and axles. The clear bricks are in good
shape as is the rest of the set. The 'International Transport'
decal is not included in this set. Two interesting bricks, the
4x14 tiled plate that forms the undercarriage and the 4x8 plate
with the integrated pivot pin.

695 Racing Car
Best use of a faucet yet or the easist cleanup after changing a tire!
This early F1 racer is nicely done and sports the JPS colours to boot!
Scaled nicely for a racing minifig all the pieces of this set are in
excellent shape.

770 Rescue Set
Excellent medical vehicle set, a great helicopter set which
includes 2 inside corner roof pieces. The other vehicles are
an ambulance and a stetcher (ok that may be 'stretching' it)
The red cross decals are included but the helicopter 'L-386'
stickers are not. There are three old style mini-figs (fixed arms
and blank expressions) included, one of which is a woman.

775 Fire Fighter
This is a great fireboat! Very rugged looking with the Technic
style cannons and the fence pieces used for railings. The hull is
in the old molded style and the keel ballast pieces are included.
The decals are all in place except for the missing '1' decal from
the smokestack and the life preservers.

4005 Tug Boat
Great little workboat, all the original decals are on the
sheet. Set includes a ballast piece, a string winch and
full running lights. Great little workboat for your harbour
scene.

4015 Freighter
Nicely appointed small freighter, one hold for cargo and a
crane to service it. The hull is in great shape and the
decals are already affixed. Minifigs are in excellent
shape.

4020 Fire Fighter
Here's a lovely big fire boat. All of the water cannons you
could hope for. This kit has the molded hull (water proof) and
the weighted pieces to allow for real floatation. All of the pieces
are in great shape and the original decal sheet is included intact.

4030 Cargo Carrier
Very good very large freighter with four containers. The
superstructure on this set is nicely detailed. The hull
has the decals in place, they are accurately applied and
in good shape. This set includes 6 of the internal ballast
2x6 double-height heavy bricks. Minifigs are like new
and this is a very nice large boat.

6388 Holicay Home with Caravan
This is the real deal, the cottage, the boat, a camper, a car
and a beer servin' babe too boot! This set has the great 8
long yellow roof pieces and some of the nicely detailed older
doors and windows. Town as it should be.
