But, one other possibility: He was sick of seeing 8458s go for over $100 on ebay, and was trying to deflate the market for them a bit. Pure speculation on my part. Would you mind if some of us who put up legos for auction on Ebay include your link? As way of suggestions, maybe a mention of clones would also help the non-experts.
