Re: Visit in February (President's weekend)

(...) Well, actually, the October meeting was held two days before you joined the eGroups mailing list. There are multiple reminders about meetings once you're on the list, however, so that shouldn't happen again. (...) Well, we can make one up for (...) (...) again?) (...) Well, as soon as I said I'd come to the next meeting and talk pirate stuff, you guys 'forget' to tell me where and when the October meeting was. :^P I guess I'm supposed to believe that email I got was an actual invitation...   Re: Visit in February (President's weekend)

(...) Maybe "popular" is too strong a word. ;^) (...) *ahem* Perhaps if some people who were interested in stuff other than Space came to the meetings.... Shiri, we'll be needing you to call yourself "Mark" while you're visiting... just to keep (...) (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea, lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

(...) Legendary Shiri? Wow, I had no idea I was that popular. ;-) (...) Mark and Mark? And his alter ego? Hehehe... (me, myself and I all over again?) (...) Please do, I'd be really happy to meet anyone around. I will find out the dates ASAP (...) (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea, lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

Egad! RUN! ;^D Sounds great, Shiri! Perhaps we can organize a SEALUG meeting around and about the time you show up... keep us posted on the dates of your visit.   Re: Visit in February (President's weekend)

(...) Wow, the legendary Shiri coming to our shores, will wonders never cease. Maybe she'll put a stop to all this Space foolishness that's been going on with Mark and Mark. :) This definitely calls for a special meeting. Not that we haven't be (...)   Visit in February (President's weekend)

Hey guys, Gotta be brief, but just wanted to drop y'all a note saying I'll be around in February, on President's week. Dates elude me at the moment, but if I don't post now I'll probably forget entirely. I'll be landing in Portland, staying there (...)   Re: PNLTC Presents a Guinness World Record LEGO Train Track Display

Today my son and I went to see the PNLTC Track being setup. I've been taking pictures on and off, and have just uploaded them to (URL) people who are interested in seeing a little more detail of what is going on. -- David Schilling (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.wa, lugnet.loc.us.or)

In town July 5th and 6th...

Hey just had a last minute business trip dumped on me. The only bright side is that I might get to visit some AFOLs in Portland. I doubt I will be able to do anything the 5th but I think the evening of the 6th is open for dinner/drinks/minifesting (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

  Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

*smirk* I had been thinking of them as 'space marines' uncapped, no real affiliation. I guess now that they have air support, ground support, and a nifty new heavy mecha, I'd better think of who they fight for/against, eh? *smile* I look forward to (...)   Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

Sorry it took so long, but I posted a battle report from our game on May 7 to Jain's Guide (which is at (URL) as everybody knows). I hope I remembered everything right. Matthew, I didn't know what to call your army, so they ended up being the (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or)

  Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

(...) I haven't heard back from you over e-mail - are we on for Sunday, May 7th? I just finished a fantastic new Japanese monastery today, it's not at all defensible, and I've manned it with a force absolutely not equipped for base defense. As such, (...)   Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

Well, since my apartment isn't terribly large, and my downstairs neighbors think I keep elephants already *smile*, I was hoping for not more than 4 or 5 total players... I've found (over 20 years of RPGing) that the play quality drops off (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or)

  Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

I certainly don't mind; I set 15 as an arbitrary age, as I didn't want to be the only person present that could grow a beard. I mean, "again". *smile* -Cheese (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or)

  Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

(...) Would you mind if I, a lowly 14 year old, tagged along? Judging from your posts, it looks like you are in our area. We are a little bit north from the other side of Sunset highway from 158th Fredys. (...) eh? Obviously you need to be spending (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or)

  Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

(...) I'll be coming up to Beaverton for the next couple of weeks to playtest some new BrikWars supplements and to work on the next BrikWars site revision - I'd love to get in on a game, and I'll bet I can trick one or two other guys into coming (...)   Anyone interested in BrikWars?

I am looking for other AFOLs (or JrFOLs; if you're say, 15 or older and responsible) interested in Brikwars, in the Pacific Northwest. Preferrably in or around the Portland, OR area. I am willing to travel as far as Eugene or (possibly) Seattle if (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or)

  FOTW: Closeout at 158th & Walker Freddy's

I got a 5976 River Expedition for US$23.99 ($49.99 marked down to $31.99, then 25% off) at said Fred's. Unfortunately, it was the last one of those on closeout (there had been at least 4 of them earlier in the week; they went on closeout Friday, but (...)   Hawthorne Fred Meyer

Just a heads-up as to the stock at this store (no, I don't have anything better to do.) Saw a bunch of the new 2000 Castle stuff, not a lot of SW except for the smallest sets and Mos Espa. Quite a bit of Rock Raiders small and medium sized sets. The (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)
