I did a similar thing at the Ames in New Hartford. I went in on the Friday
evening
and the person behind the customer service counter refused to allow the
discount on
Lego despite the wording of the ad.! So I went back Saturday morning and
tried again.
This time, I managed to persuade them that the ad. didn't say no to Lego
and so I
basically cleared the shelves! Like Ed, I don't have a lot of time for Ames
normally,
so I didn't feel too guilty ;)
