What part of NY? I can tell you about NY City. In Manhattan the custom is to charge 10% more than usual for Lego. The major chain stores to get it are Toys R Us, Kmart, Bradlees, and the lesser stores are KB Toys (20% markup!), Zany Brainy, maybe (...) (26 years ago, 8-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.us, lugnet.loc.us.ny)

So far, I've checked 2 KayBee stores (one regular, one ToyWorks), and not found them here in western Ohio. Just a little note...I was in a BJ's Wholesale Club in a neighboring city and they were putting out a pallet of these sets...$78.99 I believe. You might also consider bringing items to trade into the *LUG box you will hopefully have for the meeting. LUGOLA will be shipping it out to you first, so have fun with it!
