It appears that we will have to charge a playing fee to pay for fun prizes and
the acquisition of Steve Jackson from Austin, Texas.  I am looking to raise
enough to pull this off and not charge so much that anyone who wants to play
would have to not because of cost.  Keeping that in mind, some payment schema
that we have discussed include: $1 per hour of play, $5 per four hour block of
play, some per day of play fee, etc.  Please let me know how you feel about
this.

Ack, I was hoping to make a full weekend of it!  :)  You know,
hang around far too long, cause trouble, shirk my lecture writing...
Perhaps we can have a weekend registration, with different costs
   for single days?

I can definitely confirm that I am *not* in any position to
spend lots of money.  It's bad enough that I have to pass on
my gf's friend's wedding in South Carolina because I can't
afford it (it's the same weekend, 8-10 June).  However, I can
swing $30 or so for a weekend, plus the cost of victualling.
If it's any other weekend, I can probably also manage it.  I'll
check the University's summer schedule to be sure--although I
don't have to teach weekends, I don't want to spend the weekend
before the first lecture engaged in the pursuit of fun.  It
   sets a bad example!  ;)

Well, I think our schedule provided about 30 hours of gaming, so if the
price was a buck an hour, total cost for the weekend would be $30. I did
suggest we have a "bulk" discount (like $25 for the whole weekend).  If
the store owner really is providing free pizza, that will really help
the budget conscious.

Frank will be supplying much of the fleet and all of the crew.  Each player is
invited to bring a minifig captain for their ship.

OK.  I assume by 'much of the fleet' that Steve isn't bringing
any ships, so who is the 'rest of the fleet' coming from?  I
won't have time between my return to NJ on 2 June and this event
to build any ships--it'll take that long just to get my life out
   of storage.

On the other hand, getting a hold of my dread Cap'n Snotch is
going to be rather easy; he's sitting on an island baseplate
   in deserted Detroit.

At some point in the next couple months, I'm going to do another session
of cutter building. With the other ships I have built, I think I can
supply a pretty good game, and I can still build some more. I also
suspect a few folks will be able to bring a few more ships. My fleet is
not that far off from Steve's (and I don't even have everything built).
