Thanks.  The only "little old toy shoppe" anywhere near here is actually
in Hickory, NC...it's called Clark's Toyland and is in the basement of
Clark's Tire (downtown Hickory).  Last year, I cleared them out of some
Pirates sets, a Dark Forest Fortress and some others...I think there may
still be a couple small Pirate sets (a fig set and an overpriced small
set) left.  It might be worth checking out if you're in the area.  Do
any of the KB Liquidators near you have the clearanced Paradisa sets?
I've been looking for those, but no luck so far...

Welcome to the group, Thomas.

I was just up at Blowing Rock a couple of weekends ago, and was
fantasizing about the little old toy shoppe with ancient unsold Lego in
it. I stopped at the KMart on 421 and was disappointed to see no tubs,
buckets or basic sets of any kind. And their idea of clearance (about
$10 off a $80 set) is a joke. Looks like I'm better off living that much
closer to Smithfield (home of kb liquidators).

I believe that Mike Walsh has been keeping a careful eye on the one near the RTP airport, but hasn't scored any (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nc)
