Hi everyone!
I'm pleased to announce the formation of a rather infant LEGO train club,
the Northern Illinois LTC. So far, we're only a handful of members, and
right now half of that handful are pretty busy, but we wanted to get the
ball rolling.
We'll be discussing soon and hopefully will hold a first meeting in the next
month. For those AFOLs in the Chicagoland area, and those in southern WI
and northwestern IN, please join in! If you're not into trains, that's cool
too (you can build town buildings).
So far, the club consists of:
Ondrew Hartigan (the visionary and spearheader of the club)
Tim Courtney (myself)
Remy Evard (interested but very busy right now)
Joel Kuester (interested but lives in Milwaukee, limited involvement)
Still waiting for an email response from a few other area AFOLs, but I think
its best to get the ball rolling and let it pick up momentum that way.
We (Ondrew and I) would like this club to be open to all ages. We will have
possible future discussion on conditions under a certain age, but we will
not deny club membership to anyone based on that criteria.
Finally, Ondrew and I are headed up to Milwakuee to Joel's this Saturday
(see his post in loc.wi) and would love to chat with any of you there about
the club, or other LEGO topics.
Todd - could we have a lugnet.trains.org.niltc group please? Thanks.
-Tim

| Tim & All, (...) Gosh, guys, like I am not in enough clubs yet or something! : ) Boy I thought I would never say that! Anyway, that is all right, I would be happy to attend, provided it doesn't crash with other club meetings (namely IndyLUG or (...)
