Lego Expo at The Toy Connection

If you peek at:

... you'll see that The Toy Connection is having a "Lego Expo" on
Aug 28th. I saw this when browsing around for possible other good
lego sources in the area and called them up for details.
I didn't get an exact description of the plan, but here's what I
did learn:
- It will be at their Crystal Lake store. (815) 477-4422
- It starts at 10am and goes until noon or so.
- Lego representatives will be there.
- There will be tubs of loose blocks for kids (or whomever,
I'd guess :) to play with.
- There may be judging for MOCs. Not sure of any details.
- Possibly more lego for purchase than is usually available, but
probably nothing you couldn't get retail anyway... I think.
They said "lego trains will be there", but then it sounded like
it might only be 4561. The person I talked to wasn't sure, so
I'll be calling back for more info. (Ok... just did this, and
didn't learn any more.)
Sounds like a reasonable way to spend a Saturday morning.

| (...) Wheaton? So YOU'RE the competition for the local lego sales prices. :) The address for their store is on their web pages. | (...) LOL :) I actually haven't bought too much Lego from the store in the last year. I acquired about 2000 bricks from a garage sale, got the X-Wing in Carlsbad, and got some insectoids set for my birthday (belated). That's it! (...) Hehe... well, (...)
