Ya, This area used to have a little action a year or two ago. Things really
tapered off, I don't know why.

Well, Xmas is coming up and I'm all twitchy over what my legos my wife
might be getting me from xmas.  She's mentioned that she ordered some sets
from the lego webpage, so I'm in a big tizzy over what that might mean.
More Mindstorms expansions?  (I've expressed my desire for the Mars
expansion.)  The Statue of Liberty?  The mind boggles.

I know. My wife went to Target and I *know* that she bought me something
LEGO related. I just haven't figured out what it is yet. I suppose I can
wait a couple more days - I just haven't found anything that rattles yet.

Recently I put in a really hard week of work (22 extra hours over 8
days), and she pressed on me the Star Wars imperial Shuttle when we were
shopping at WalMart.  I got that, and one of the little Motorcycle thingies.
Earlier I'd snuck into a WalMart at work and gotten the droid escape star
wars kit and that little odd flying Life on Mars set, the one that WM sells
for six bucks.

Of the two little sets, I've got to say I prefer the Life on Mars one.
Once I get over the joy of seeing a C3PO minifig, there's not much to *do*
with the kit.  Whereas the Life on Mars one has a little foot on a leg, as
well as small arms that wave about.

This isn't a big surprise.  Although I pooh-poohed LoM when I first saw
photos of it in the catalog, I've since become enraptured with the whole
theme.  Between the almost anime-like big eyed aliens, the mecha robots, and
the soft 'used' colors of the theme, I'm in love with the whole bit.  Heck,
I may buy several of the $6 set (XX11, I think.), just for the nifty arm and
leg bits.

I haven't seen either LoM or the 2001 Star Wars sets yet. I'm just waiting
until after the Holiday to buy them. I get in trouble if I buy anything
before the Holiday for some reason...

So, I'm a happy Denver AFOL.  And in five days, I expect to be even
happier.

I'll let you know if I come away with any LEGO loot over the weekend.
