Attention all LEGO Train fans:

It looks like there might finally be enough people in the San Francisco Bay
area now that have the train addiction to get an actual LEGO Train Club going.

Great! I'm glad this is getting started.

I would like to propose getting an official train club put together for the
upcoming NMRA show this summer in San Jose.  I plan on attending and
displaying a layout and have already spoken with the NMRA about getting a
place.  (I am currently on the waiting list)

Great idea. I am also planning on attending the show and will help in any
way I can.

I have already mentioned the show to some and received some positive response,
but would like to actually have a "train club" formed which will be
represented at the show.

Again, great idea.

If you are interested in trains, by all means, join the discussion.  Maybe you
don't have any LEGO trains, but think they are cool.  Maybe you, like Tom
Stangl, have become addicted and just don't realize it yet.  Maybe you are
just crazy for them, like Larry P and myself.

I'm crazy for them like the masters.

Perhaps you don't even live in the San Francisco Bay area, but are willing to
drive a bit (I am a 3 1/2 hour drive away).  By all means, check it out.

I live in San Jose.

I have looked at the idea for a greater CA club, but feel that it would run me
ragged to do both, so I think that I will just focus on getting one started in
Northern CA.  (If there is interest in Southern CA, perhaps we can get a
sister club started down there...)

I think concentrating on Northern California is smart.

Please respond or email if you are interested.

Thanks,
Mike Poindexter
