The 1st meeting of AZ AFOLs

Well ladies and gentleman, err I guess its just gentleman...anyway...We had
the first meeting of AZ AFOLs today over at my place. Dave Cybulski, Jon
Kozan, Patrick Goodsell, and of course myself were in attendance.
For those that were unable to attend here's what you missed:
Dave brought over the start of a motorized dump truck that when completed
will be pretty cool. That's not to say that it wasn't cool to begin with,
'cause it was, just that when its done it'll be even cooler.
Jon brought over the beginnings of his mini-fig scale battleship. Currently
its just some main cannon barrels, a smaller cannon gun turret and some AA
turrets. Jon says that when he's done building it'll be about 18 feet long
and 2 (or was it 2.5) feet wide. Quite an impressive undertaking, and an
impressive beginning.
Jon also had some misc. Lego memorabillia (sp?) that he's collected, and
some stuff that he brought back from his trip to LegoLand in California.
Jon was also kind enought to share some of his bargain hunting tips that
he's picked up over the years.
The meeting ended up lasting just over 2 hours, and I know I had a great
time. It was good to finally put a face to the names that are posted here
on Lugnet.
Thanks for coming over guys, and hopefully next time more people will be
able to come.
