(...) IF you forgot to say that you were in Oz when you saw it. On the other hand people post this all the time and others jump on it and arrange for some cross border buying and selling. (...) Heh heh. He wansn't saying or implying anything that absurd. He's talking about a local contest that's just noise (like a local sale) to anyone outside of the U.S. The U.S. may be a big place, but something local to the U.S. is still local, (...) (...) Ben is 100% correct here. No real harm done, but if this is really a US-only thing, then the discussion should migrate there. An initial announcement crossposting to .general and .loc.us probably ought to be tolerated if it has followups set (...) That's what I thought... <puts on flame retardant suit> Why then did you post to .general [being for general interest] and not to .loc.us [for items of specific interest to US residents as opposed to the rest of the world]? These really don't conform to the exchange rates. According to S@H, to exchange US $ to Canadian $, multipy y 1.43. But the suggested retail prices are really off sometimes. I used a S@H US catalog for US refrence, and my own experience on the (...) (26 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.loc.us, lugnet.general)
