Reminder: SacBB meeting on 1/29; Sac BEE reporter there!

Hi all, This is just a reminder that our monthly Sacramento Brick Builders meeting will be this Saturday, January 29th, from 11AM-3PM, at the Arden-Dimmick Library, 891 Watt Ave. I spoke to a Sacramento Bee reporter this morning for quite a while, (...)   Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) I'm sorry, but are you implying that Lego was first made in Ohio, like the baseball bat comes from Cooperstown, NY? Maybe it is near Samsonite! (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) That was my guess too. If it were Lego doing the organizing, they'd probably aim for a larger "vacation area" spot (balanced with cheap real estate of course), but considering how this looks more privately run, it's probably what they could (...)   Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) Probably the fact that the owners/curators live in the area and found a building on the cheap there. I would imagine there's a slightly smaller following for Lego than there is for football, baseball, or basketball (HoF in Springfield, MA, (...)   Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) Well, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is in Canton because one of the most dominant football franchises of the early days was the Canton Bulldogs. The baseball hall of fame has a slightly more (URL) convoluted history>. But it has history. What (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) That's what I was thinking also. Why would you put it in the middle of "no where" (no offense to anyone that lives in that area) but you would want it in a location that people would visit on a trip or something. I also find it strange that (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) The bid is listed as being from Bellaire, Ohio which is way down south-east on the border with West Virginia, across the river from Wheeling. An interesting and very out-of-the-way place to put a museum. I'd think that TLC would be interested (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) Most curious ebay placement. The picture of the school building almost looks like one of those old postcards (like from the 40s or 50s). Otherwise, I dunno. Ray (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  LEGO museum in Ohio?

I ran across this listing on eBay: (URL) museum. DISPLAY, Statue, and DONATIONS NEEDED > We are going to open a LEGO museum. We need TONS of blocks, displays, and any other lego "stuff" we can come up with. Presenters gain a place in HISTORY. We are (...)   Downtown Disney Lego Store being renovated

The Lego Imagination Center at Downtown Disney has started renovations. The store itself is now hidden behind privacy walls, and all the signage and figures have been removed from the roof.   Re: GATS 8-9 jan, 2005, great model

(...) As Brian Darrow said, I took the photos at the GATS show, but I have no idea who made the MOC. I'm posting this to the IndyLUG newsgroup - hopefully whoever did it will claim his share of glory for creating it.. :) When I first saw it, I (...)   Dawsonville LEGO Outlet Store closing :(

For those of you who didn't know the Dawsonville Georgia LEGO Outlet store is being closed (this is the first US LEGO Outlet opened in Oct. 1999).   Austin-area Lego update

Folks, Here's an update on recent Austin-area Lego goings-on... On Saturday, 1/8/05, the first Central Texas FIRST Lego League competition was held.   Looking for a few contacts

Hello Wisconsin, I'm hoping to find a few AFOL's in the Madison area that would like an opportunity to display at a LOCAL Fund Raiser/Charity event on January 29th (short notice I know).
