 Stories and anecdotes

- Ian: Have you seen the amazing LEGO display at the Toy Museum in Cockermouth?
Phil: Yes, its mine. Phil then digs around in his collection of paper and shows his reciept of loan letter from said Toy Museum. - Anon: Can I have a look at your parts?
Anon 2: I beg your pardon? - There was a small pilgramage (Carbon60, Liam, Ian, Richard and Tony) to Busy Bee. They kindly stayed open late as their stock was lovingly examined and fondled. It was a bit of a spiritual event really - one of the last true toyshops around. Pics soon!
 - Anything written to /loc/uk/, alternatively mail me and Ill put them up. That goes too if you see any inaccuracies or misremembered stuff!

  | Agree with all the preceding comments - the whole thing was most enjoyable if too short, and a good opportunity to meet fellow builders and collectors. |    | UK Legofest report
  |
  | I think those present will agree that the recent Legofest - the first in the UK as far as I know - was a great success. I had arranged it on a Monday to fit in with Kevin Wilson's travel plans, so attendance was expected to be limited. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
   | Historical Note - This is currently considered to be the first LEGOfest in the UK, which subsequently catalysed many more into existence
