  Re: Argos, backhoe reduced again

(...) There were plenty of examples of similar clearances in the US last year, such as the train set for $40. So I don't really think it's restricted to the UK. (...) Hard to say. From what I've seen, that set has been very popular - 2 people I told (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Argos, backhoe reduced again

(...) Is it just me or does anyone else find it rather worrying for the future of lego in the UK that I managed to pick one of these up a couple of days ago? It has been reduced (dramatically!) for more than 6 weeks now - and they still have stock?? (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) As for not having access to PaB... maybe, maybe not. In the UK there have been a growing number of retail outlets not run by LEGO that have been getting PickABrick operations, or so I hear. I'm not clear on whether the pricing and selection (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Tracking Pick-a-Brick inventories

(...) Given this, it may be prudent to have a "Value for money" rating on the various stores in the tracker. Ie - a rating from 0-10. Clicking on the store could give finer grained details of the rates. I must admit- having been caught out by price (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Tracking Pick-a-Brick inventories

(...) I'm not a big fan of the Hamleys pick a brick, the selection is poor compaired to the Lego Store in Kingston upon Thames. Also I feel a bit stupid after getting hit by their nasty prices. I misunderstood the sign that said. Any 1 for 4.99 Any (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Hi, Huw, Could you please give me the address of this "Hamleys"? I'm in London next week, and if Regent street is not too far off the places we want to see (Near Regents Park maybe?), then I could drop in for a visit.
