According to my brochure, it stops opening every day on Nov 3rd. Then, from
the 9th it is open every weekend 11am to 5pm for a reduced admission price
of ?15.
I also though about organising a trip there, now I know the setup. Perhaps
someone with contacts could find out of a coach trip is feasible. According
to Autoroute, Gunzburg is 530 miles from Calais, drive time 7 hours. That's
got to be do-able in a day. I suspect hotels would be cheap out of season,
and you like me, Michael, know some good ones in the area.
Mind you, it's only 60GBP return Stansted to Munich flying with Go, but you
really need a car once there.
