In the course of 7 minutes earlier today, you posted four identical copies
of the same message to four different groups:

that your newsreader very likely has facilities for posting to multiple
groups at once (this is called "crossposting"), and this reduces clutter for
most people. However, this is relatively minor.
What's more important to understand is that the particular content of your
message is appropriate to only one of the groups you addressed -- namely the
lugnet.market.auction group -- and not to any of the other three, as Larry
kindly points out in a second message:

| So Todd, When you post these notes, I'm always impressed, but doesn't composing a note like this take a bunch of time? How many of these do you do in a week? Do you have some simple cut-n-paste scheme for these set up? (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
